Assessment 1: case study assignments

During the training, students will take case-study-based assignments. These assignments will be graded according to the assessment matrix.

  • Four assignments of 60 minutes each with a pass mark of 75%
  • The assignments are open-book

Assessment 2: multiple-choice questions (MCQ)

At the end of the training course, students are asked to complete a multiple-choice examination. Candidates must pass the case study assessments in order to take the exam. If a candidate fails the first assessment, they may be given an additional written assignment based on the same case study.

  • Online multiple-choice proctored exam with a duration of 60 minutes
  • The exam is closed-book, with only the provided materials being permitted for use
  • The pass mark for the exam is 70%: you must get 21 out of 30 questions correct

What is ITIL Strategic Leader?

If a candidate has already passed the DPI exam as part of the ‘Managing Professional (MP)’ stream, they will not need to take the exam a second time.
