What is Lean?

Lean is an approach to project management which focuses on minimizing waste for the sake of maximizing value.

How does Lean work?

Lean works by minizing costs in order to maximize value. Lean managers will create 'value streams' of project lifecycles, examining and optimizing all processes. They will maximise flow, reduce waste, take action when customers necessitate it, and pursue perfection based on how they define 'value' for customers.

How can Lean benefit businesses?

Lean can enable businesses to cut expenditure and optimize both efficiency and responsiveness, making key processes more valuable and flexible. This will maximize ROIs in the long term.

How valuable is Lean training?

According to Payscale, a Lean manager's salary can vary between $64,000 and over $125,000 (or £32,000 and over £61,000). Salaries depend on each candidate's position, location, and experience.

Do Good e-Learning's Lean courses come with exams?

Good e-Learning's Lean courses feature end-of-course assessments which students must pass in order to earn their Lean certifications.

Why is Lean often combined with Six Sigma?

Lean creates stability and optimization for key processes. Six Sigma identifies potential variables and corrects them in order to maximize reliability. Together, they can leave essential repeated processes fully optimized.

What is a 'Lean organization'?

A 'Lean organization' is dedicated to optimizing customer value while minimizing expenditure. They apply Lean best practices wherever possible in order to eliminate waste.

Who can use Lean?

Lean principles can be applied in organizations of virtually any industry, location, sector, or size, simply because they are generalized enough to benefit anyone.

Every business on the planet can benefit from optimizing key processes and cutting out waste.

What other frameworks can complement Lean?

Lean is regularly combined with Six Sigma. It can also complement other popular frameworks such as Agile, PRINCE2, and ITIL 4.
