About this Resource:

To be an effective architect you must take into account the needs of each stakeholder. But in most projects EA has a very broad scope, so there are likely to be a large number of stakeholders, and they will often come from different backgrounds, positions and roles – all with very different concerns and requirements.

Views and viewpoints are mechanisms to help specify and understand these wide-ranging and potentially diverse needs. TOGAF is based on the 42010 standard which emphasises the importance of views and viewpoints – but there isn’t much practical guidance on how to manage views and viewpoints. This poster provides some idea on this important skill.
