This introductory module brings students up to speed with the main features of the course, along with its learning plan, aims, objectives, and structure.
Students are provided with a diagram pack, syllabus, glossary, and further reading and links document. The module also supplies links to download the essential publications associated with the framework.
Finally, the module covers some of the most frequently asked questions regarding RESILIA cyber resilience.
Foundation Module 1: Introduction to Cyber Resilience and Risk Management
Learning Objectives
This module introduces students to cyber resilience and risk management, as well as the benefits they offer. It also covers many of the risks faced by most organizations and how to address them.
Foundation Module 2: Management Systems
Learning Objectives
This module looks at management systems, as well as several common standards and best practices. It also introduces the purpose of management, governance, and compliance.
Foundation Module 3: Memory Game 1
Learning Objectives
This module features a knowledge check on the previous modules. Students are advised to return to the knowledge checks when preparing for the exam.
Foundation Module 4: Cyber Resilience Strategy
Learning Objectives
This module examines the Strategy stage of the cyber resilience lifecycle. This includes the purpose and key features of typical cyber resilience strategies, as well as their relation to IT Service Management (ITSM).
Foundation Module 5: Cyber Resilience Design
Learning Objectives
This module covers the Design stage of the cyber resilience lifecycle. It also looks at the purpose and key features of a well-made design.
Foundation Module 6: Cyber Resilience Transition
Learning Objectives
This module looks at the Transition stage of the cyber resilience lifecycle, including how it prepares designs from the previous stage for operational use. The module also examines the key control objectives of cyber resilience transition.
Foundation Module 7: Cyber Resilience Operations
Learning Objectives
This module covers the Operation phase of the cyber resilience lifecycle. This includes the purpose and key objectives of cyber resilience operations, as well as the relationship they have with ITSM.
Foundation Module 8: Cyber Resilience Continual Improvement
Learning Objectives
This module looks at the final stage of the cyber resilience lifecycle, Continual Improvement. It covers the purpose and key objectives of continual improvement, as well as the ITIL CSI approach and the seven-step improvement process. The module ends by looking at the segregation of duties and how it helps organizations.

Learning Objectives
This module introduces the Practitioner section of the RESILIA course suite. Students are taken through its main features, learning plan, structure, aims, objectives. They also receive a glossary, diagram pack, syllabus, and further reading and links document, along with links to download any essential copies of the framework’s publications.
The module ends by covering some of the most frequently asked questions on RESILIA practitioners.
Practitioner Module 1: Risk Management

This module looks at how to understand, address, and manage risks. It describes the purpose of and how to use a ‘Risk Register’ along with how to create and apply a Risk Treatment Plan. The subject matter expert guiding students through the course also offers insight on how best to approach and manage risks.
